In the 1970s, Melchiore Buscemi MD began his journey to become a physician. He received a Bachelor of Science in biology from St. Francis College in 1977 and proceeded to attain his M.D from a State University of New York in 1983, having completed clinical rotations at Wyckoff Heights Hospital and Queens' Hospital during his college years at the Autonomous University in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Upon obtaining his license to practice medicine in 1984, he did a general surgery residency at a New York Medical College (1984-86) followed by a urology residency at the University of Buffalo and Roswell Park Cancer Center (1986-89). Dr. Melchiore Buscemi then moved to Pennsylvania where he worked at the Lehigh Medical Center for two years until 1991 before transitioning to Bridgeton Medical Center in New Jersey.
Afterwards, he focused on forming medical practices and was affiliated with Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Claxton and Hepburn Medical Center - all located upstate New York - for the rest of his career.
