Dr. Nicholas Jauregui

Dr. Nicholas Jauregui of Orange County, California, recognizes that a terminal illness does not mean nothing more can be done for a patient. With board certifications in hospice and palliative medicine, Dr. Jauregui’s objective is to deliver high-quality health care through all phases of a patient’s life. He presently acts as Palliative Care Medical Director at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, California, which runs one of the top palliative care programs in the state. Dr. Nicholas Jauregui also acts as the Vice Chairman of the Ethics Committee and Chairman of the Family Medicine Section at Huntington Hospital.

Prior to working at Huntington Hospital, Dr. Nicholas Jauregui served as Clinic Site Director for the Escondido Community Health Center (now Neighborhood Healthcare) in Escondido, California, and Medical Director at the Pregnancy and Family Care Centers in San Diego. He also keeps himself deeply involved in community clinic work, having worked as Staff Physician and Hospitalist at Neighborhood Healthcare’s primary care facility in Escondido. Earlier in his career, Dr. Jauregui was engaged as a family medicine doctor at the Ventura Urgent Care & Family Practice Center in Ventura, California. Dr. Nicholas Jauregui earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of California, San Diego. He went on to earn his MD from that institution’s School of Medicine and served his residency at Ventura County Medical Center. Dr. Jauregui has kept his skills and knowledge up to date with continuing education in many aspects of healthcare business management.

A committed father and family man, Dr. Nicholas Jauregui enriches his children’s lives with activities like kayaking, traveling, mountain biking, and hiking, and he makes certain that they take in everything their Orange County surroundings have to offer. Dr. Nicholas Jauregui is an avid reader, with favorites such as The Chronicles of Narnia, The Four Loves, and The Space Trilogy, all by C. S. Lewis, reflecting his worldview.
