Dr. Peter Moley
Peter Moley, M.D., a celebrated physiatrist, specializes in non-surgical treatments for injuries to the lower back, hips, and joints. Using a combination of advanced physical therapy regimens and injections, Dr. Peter Moley helps patients manage their injuries and prevent future issues from arising. He uses ultrasound technology and fluoroscopy to guide injections of steroids, viscosupplementation, and platelet-rich plasma treatments, ensuring optimal delivery of these therapies. At present, he serves as an Assistant Attending Physiatrist at the Hospital for Special Surgery. He has held this position since 2002. In addition, he serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Rehabilitation Medicine at Will Cornell Medical College. In this position, Dr. Peter Moley ensures that future physiatrists have the skills and knowledge they need to provide the highest possible level of care.
After earning his Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University, Dr. Peter Moley continued his education at the Georgetown University Medical School, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine. Subsequently, he completed an internship in general surgery at the University of California, Davis, Medical School and a residency through the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He then secured a fellowship in interventional spine and sports medicine at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Today, he maintains board certification in sports medicine, physical medicine, and rehabilitation through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dedicated to keeping abreast of the latest advances in his field, Dr. Peter Moley remains actively involved with the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, North American Spine Society, and Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports, and Occupational Rehabilitation. In addition, he frequently speaks at several industry events and recently delivered three lectures before the Association of Academic Physiatrist Residents/Fellows.
