Dr. Samuel Nisbett
A member of the British Columbia Eye Physician Society and the Canadian Medical Association, Dr. Samuel Nisbett started working at the Saje Vision Services clinic in 1988 as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Nisbett served as this organization's Chief Surgeon up until recently, when he decided to take some time off before opening another practice in the area in the near future.
A highly-experienced ophthalmologist, Dr. Samuel Nisbett has volunteered his time as a medical professional and mentor several times. He served as a mentor for students at Salsbury High School in Winnipeg for three years, and he provided his services at eye surgery camps in the Ivory Coast of Africa through Medical Missions International in April 1999. Dr. Samuel Nisbett also provided consultation and mentoring services for students at Mouat High School in Abbotsford, British Columbia, and served on the volunteer medical staff at the British Columbia Summer Games in Abbotsford.
Dr. Samuel Nisbett earned a Bachelor of Science at the University of the West Indies. He later finished his medical degree at the same university and went on to complete several internships, residencies, and other training. Two of the programs Dr. Samuel Nisbett took part in were an ophthalmology residency at the University of Manitoba, where he also served as an Assistant Professor, and an ocular electrophysiology and ocular genetics fellowship at the University of Toronto.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Samuel Nisbett enjoys playing tennis and golf, fishing, and flying kites. He belongs to the Lions Club and Rotary Club and supports the United Way and Boys and Girls Club.
