Dr. Summer Beattie is a 2004 graduate of the most recognized Naturopathic Medical School in the country – Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. Additionally, she holds degrees in Exercise Science and Psychology from La Sierra University and Hope International University, respectively. Licensed in both Washington and Alaska, she maintains professional membership in the WA state (WANP –Washington Association of Naturopath Physicians) and is currently serving her second term on the board of directors for the WANP Dr. Beattie recently left her position on the board of directors of the Whatcom County Pregnancy Clinic in Bellingham, WA where she had been practicing. In addition, she has specialty training and certification in IV Nutrient Therapy, Injection therapies, Weight Loss care, and treatment of thyroid conditions using Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome protocol. Dr. Beattie has helped teach various classes at Bastyr University and looks forward to continuing to do education outreach here in Alaska. Dr. Beattie deeply appreciates the unique environment and people that make up Sitka. Both she and her husband were born in Southeast Alaska and grew up in Hoonah. They are excited to be sharing this unique place with their young daughter.
