Dr. Victor Berlin

Dr. Victor N. Berlin is an innovative, entrepreneurial educator of working professionals with a primary focus of serving those seeking to advance their careers by completing their doctoral, masters and undergraduate degrees in the cybersecurity sector for the past 15 years. To address the growing shortage of senior, qualified cybersecurity professionals, experts and policymakers, he served as the founding president of the first U.S. accredited cybersecurity graduate university, the University of Fairfax. The University of Fairfax exclusively focuses on advanced cybersecurity programs offering masters and doctoral degrees for senior cybersecurity professionals. He oversaw graduate curriculum architecture development and in particular the doctoral dissertation program applying field research methods to cybersecurity enterprise and policy level problems. He developed the marketing strategy, marketing plans and marketing systems to effectively and efficiently develop a student body and alumni who have achieved national and international recognition. (Table 1 below). Most recently he has founded Mission Critical Institute, a cybersecurity thought leadership center which has just launched the Veterans Cybersecurity Career Transition Program. Previously, he also served as the founding president of Potomac College, an accredited institution serving working professionals in management and information systems. He also served in a policy analysis role as Chief of Experimental Methods, National Institute Standards and Technology. His academic experience includes in addition serving on the faculties or in the administration of Carroll School of Management, Boston College, Potomac College and the Keller Graduate School of Management. He has served in federal, non-profit and private organizations including the Anteon Corporation where he directed the Center for IT Education and initiated the cybersecurity curriculum.
