Drew G. I. Hart is a professor of theology at Messiah College in Pennsylvania. Beyond teaching and writing his experience includes pastoring for 10 years, working for an afterschool program in a low-income black neighborhood, leading anti-racism workshops, collaborating with local faith-rooted organizers and activists, and advocating and addressing societal challenges from a faith perspective. His book, Trouble I’ve Seen: Changing the Way the Church Views Racism, utilizes everyday stories, Jesus-shaped lessons, and anti-racism frameworks to transform the church͛s understanding and witness. Drew͛s writing can be found in Red Letter Christians, Sojourners, The Christian Century, and The Mennonite, among other places, and Dr. Hart speaks regularly across the United States. His twitter handle is @DruHart which is his millennial vice of choice. Dr. Hart was honored with bcmPEACE͛s ͚2017 Peacemaker Award͛. Drew and his family now live in Harrisburg, PA.
