Dr. Paul Hornberger
Utilizing his considerable medical and administrative skills, Dr. Paul Hornberger has worked as a Consulting Physician for Digestive Health Consultants of Northern California since 1991 and as Medical Director for its Endoscopy Center of Santa Rosa, Inc., since 2009. As Medical Director, Dr. Hornberger holds responsibility for performing procedures and managing the Center’s doctors, nurses, and staff. Under Dr. Paul Hornberger’s supervision, the Center’s specialized procedures are 80% cheaper than those at area hospitals.
Dr. Paul Hornberger developed many of the skills necessary for his current positions by running a private practice. From 1991 to 2003, he partnered with a colleague to treat patients in the Santa Rosa, California, area who had hepatitis, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, and motility disorders.
Throughout his career, Dr. Paul Hornberger has striven to continually develop his technique as a physician. He completed his undergraduate degree with honors, and as a medical student he earned a National Council on Aging Scholarship and a National Institutes of Health Research Fellowship. Dr. Hornberger currently maintains professional affiliations with the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and he is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Rochester, his Master of Science from the University of California, Riverside, and his Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Davis.
