Edmond Avakian

Edmond Avakian brings three decades of relevant experience to his role as the Chief Executive Officer of Avakian Geneve. Edmond Avakian oversees the company’s strategic direction and expands its lines of high jewelry and watches available throughout the world. Edmond Avakian was born in Bulgaria and spent his younger years traveling and studying abroad. He joined the family business in 1976 with the intention of developing and expanding the business to position it as an exclusive distributor for leading European watchmakers. He quickly discovered his love for jewelry and then moved to Switzerland where he settled in Geneva, the watchmaking capital of the world. He opened his first shop and later opened others throughout the world. As he continued to expand the brand, Avakian maintained the quality of the brand’s pieces and strived to create a favorable buying experience for his client. Edmond Avakian attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he completed a Master of Business Administration. He subsequently completed advanced gemology training at the Gemological Institute of America. With stores in London, Beverly Hills, New York, Moscow, and Geneva, Avakian Geneve produces quality pieces that have earned a celebrity following from the likes of Ivana Trump, Catherine Denevue, Ursula Andress, and Madonna. His clients also include influential businesspeople and royalty. When he is not working or traveling, Edmond Avakian enjoys reading and attending wine tastings. He contributes to charitable organizations such as the Alfred Mann Foundation and the Swiss Red Cross.
