I grew up in California's Imperial Valley, not far from the border with Mexico. In 2014 I completed my bachelor's degree in the Study of Religion at Harvard College and that same year I started a master's degree in Religion and Society at Union Theological Seminary in New York City. I am currently a doctoral student in the Department for the Study of Religion at the University of Toronto.
