Hi there! I'm Effua and I love writing and telling stories to children. I facilitate multicultural, interactive storytelling workshops for schools in the UK and abroad; as well as at libraries and festivals.

My sessions include, dynamic storytelling, cultural exploration, performance poetry, creative writing and so much more. I facilitate workshops for parents/carers and teachers promoting literacy. I expand on the many unlimited benefits of bringing stories alive when reading with children and how that can be done.

I have written and illustrated storybooks for the NHS and SureStart. Then had the privilege of writing scripts for the CBeebies 'Story Makers' series and BBC Radio. I then went on to present the Sky TV children’s programme 'Telling Tales'.

But...I'm even more excited to share that my first published children’s early readers book 'The Snotty Dribbler' came out in August 2022, published by Bloomsbury Publishing. AND…my debut children’s picture book 'The Princess and The Pee' was published on World Book Day (07.03.24) in the UK, USA, Australia, and New Zealand!
