Dr. Elham Neisani Samani is a co-founder of a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Middle Eastern girls and women through education, career development, and leadership training. She has also collaborated extensively with community-based organizations, including Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services (IRIS), supporting refugees and displaced individuals in achieving self-sufficiency and integration into new communities.
An advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, Dr. Elham Neisani Samani has led initiatives to improve recruitment and retention of underrepresented minorities in academic medicine. She is an internationally published author and speaker, delivering professional development lectures and workshops worldwide.
Originally from Iran, Dr. Elham Neisani Samani completed her medical degree and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. She subsequently worked in a rural mountain region of Iran as a health systems and quality improvement advisor for three hospitals, gaining invaluable experience in delivering care in resource-limited settings and strengthening healthcare infrastructure for underserved populations.
In 2013, Dr. Elham Neisani Samani moved to the United States as a postdoctoral research fellow at Yale University, where she conducted research in the laboratory of Hugh S. Taylor. Her work focused on endometriosis and reproductive science and was presented at the American Society for Reproductive Medicine annual meeting.
