Elizabeth Farmer
Atlanta, GA
Hello, my name is Elizabeth Farmer, I aspire to help people through community relations, or working with youth oriented nonprofit organizations. I believe that real change in the world needs to be inspired through the youth. My goal is to help inspire that change and to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged and disgruntled youth. I want to watch and help the minds of the youth mature and their dreams evolve into reachable goals. My true passion is connecting kids with art and watching them come alive in ways people never thought possible.
My father was in the navy, so I moved all over the country when I was growing up. If I had to name a place though, I would call San Francisco home. I spent 5 years there, and have visited every years since moving away because that is were most of my mother’s family is. I believe I gained a lot of cultural understanding moving as much as I did, and still love moving and traveling all around this country. I have recently started to travel outside of the country since I only have two states left to visit here, and have meet some wonderful friends. I hope to continue traveling and learning though-out life.
I graduated with a B.A. in Mass Communications from Piedmont College in May of 2012, and will be graduating with a M.A. in Public Relations in May of 2014. I currently work with small business owners to create websites that are everything they want, and still easy for them to take over maintenance of. I believe that every company needs an engaging website to encourage business, and are judged on their site before anyone steps though their doors. I am currently looking for other opportunities in the PR field, and will be reaching out more as graduation approaches.
