Elizabeth Harris

Dr. Elizabeth Harris’ career as a cosmetic surgeon reflects a lifetime of exposure to both medicine and art, and her success over the course of her career has resulted in the opening of the second office location of her San Antonio, Texas-based private practice. As a child growing up in Chicago, Elizabeth Harris often accompanied her internist father on his house calls. She later completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biology at Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana. She then pursued her medical degree at Northwestern University. After completing her medical degree, Dr. Elizabeth Harris worked in internship and residency positions and then chose her specialty of plastic surgery. This experience and education, which Dr. Harris earned at the University of Virginia, ultimately led to her certification by The American Board of Plastic Surgery, Inc. Dr. Elizabeth Harris opened her practice nearly two decades ago. Dr. Elizabeth Harris holds affiliations with multiple national and local medical and surgical societies, including the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the San Antonio Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Harris is also on staff at three healthcare systems in the San Antonio area: Baptist Health System, Methodist Healthcare System, and CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System. In addition to her practice, Dr. Elizabeth Harris commits time and resources to higher education and philanthropy. Dr. Harris is a Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She also raises funds for Women in Medicine & Law For the Cure, a San Antonio-based affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Currently, Dr. Elizabeth Harris resides in San Antonio with her husband and their children. She enjoys spending time with her family and their rescued Labrador Retrievers. Dr. Harris also enjoys expending creative energy through artistic pursuits, an interest she has nurtured and cultivated since childhood.
