Appointed to his current position in 2014 following the election of H.E. Juan Carlos Varela Rodriguez, Emanuel Gonzalez-Revilla serves as Panamanian ambassador to the United States. Originally from Panama City, Ambassador Emanuel Gonzalez-Revilla completed his high school education in New Jersey and pursued a finance degree at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

Mr. Gonzalez-Revilla also holds a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Miami. His business leadership experience includes leading clean energy-focused Panama Power Holdings Ltd. as chairman and cofounder. He served as vice chair of the fueling vessel Trader Tankers Ltd. and as cofounder and chair of Melones Oil Terminal Inc., which maintains a fuel storage facility at the Panama Canal’s Pacific entrance.

Focused on education, Mr. Gonzalez-Revilla has participated in President Rodriguez’ efforts to ensure that children in Panama receive quality English language training. Part of this program involves Panamanian educators training in English teaching methods in the United States. He also maintains a strong commitment to fostering international dialogues in ways that encourage commercialization efforts in his country.
