My interest in Hospitality Marketing began when I lived in Guatemala. Most of the hotel industry in Guatemala is small business; creating a warm, inviting atmosphere for travelers. Each hotel was unique and met the needs of its customers. I loved the environment that was created, it was so different then what we are used to in the United States.

I believe when a hotel sets itself apart from the competition, it creates a reason for travelers to come back. PEOPLE LOVE DIFFERENT.

When I came home to the states I thought about all of the chain hotels and how they could revamp their different markets by creating a small business feel.

I am so excited to learn about the hotel industry, small business models, and marketing related to both hospitality and small business. I also love creativity!
