A leader in higher education, Dr. Emmanuel Lalande brings more than a decade of experience to his position as the vice president for enrollment management at Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina. In this role, Dr. Lalande develops, implements, and assesses all enrollment policies and processes. Dr. Emmanuel Lalande also spearheads initiatives related to student recruitment, admissions, and strategic planning.
Dr. Emmanuel Lalande earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in educational leadership at Delaware State University before going on to complete an EdD in organizational leadership at Nova Southeastern University. Prior to joining Benedict College, he held leadership positions with numerous colleges and universities, including vice president for student affairs and enrollment management at Florida Memorial University and vice president and dean of student success at Harris-Stowe State University.
Active in his field, Dr. Lalande holds membership in professional organizations such as the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) and the Southern Association for College Student Affairs (SACSA). His honors include the Outstanding Leadership Award and 40 under 40 Alumni Award from Delaware State University.
