Eric Baumbach is a Willowbrook, Illinois, resident who is currently studying at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. An accounting and finance major, he is committed to community volunteer activities with the service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega (APO). Eric Baumbach’s activities with APO have involved tutoring refugee children age 6 to 14 on a weekly basis. As a tutor, he assisted with math and English learning, played chess with students, and assisted with craft activities. He also coordinated the distribution of thousands of cases of Girl Scout cookies.

Eric Baumbach’s volunteer endeavors in Willowbrook have included cleaning up streets in his neighborhood and assisting the nonprofit Feed My Starving Children. In conjunction with his church youth group, he launched the Soldiers’ Angels Project. Through his efforts, care packages were donated and distributed to soldiers being treated at remote medical facilities in Afghanistan. Mr. Baumbach’s professional experience includes a past position as a lifeguard with Five Seasons Sports Club in Burr Ridge. He played volleyball, golf, and basketball in high school and follows Chicago sports teams such as the Bulls and Blackhawks.
