Eric Buckwalter Penn State

A student at Penn State planning to graduate in May of 2013, Eric Buckwalter studies toward his bachelor of architectural engineering as well as his minor in architecture studies. Over the years, he has taken courses on such topics as safety engineering, building construction engineering, and comprehensive architectural engineering. Complementing his time at Penn State, Eric Buckwalter studied abroad at the Pantheon Institute in Rome, Italy, in the summer of 2010. Recently, he undertook an architectural engineering senior project involving a Lancaster, Pennsylvania, construction initiative.
In addition to his school experience, Mr. Buckwalter worked as sales manager for the Philly Soft Pretzel Factory in State College, Pennsylvania. While there, he helped increase sales to $100,000 by developing business relationships. Further, he oversaw staff related to product preparation and local deliveries.
A student involved in his community, he sits on the Hospitality Committee for THON, a charitable dance marathon hosted by the university, and holds membership with the campus chapter of the Design Build Institute of America. When not engaging in community service, he enjoys following Philadelphia sports, playing golf, and traveling.
