Erik Brown

As principal of Aspire Capital Partners, LLC, Erik Brown leverages more than two decades of business development and investment management experience to invest in publicly traded technology and life sciences companies. Erik Brown has served as principal of the long-only investment fund since 2010, before which he spent seven years as vice president of Fusion Capital Partners, LLC.

At Fusion Capital Partners, Mr. Brown helped to close more than 40 investments in technology and alternative energy companies involving $500 million. He concurrently served in advisory capacities for AVID Commerce, Working Person's Store, and the Chicago Public Education Fund. Prior to this, he served four years as principal of CGI Capital, Inc., and helped grow its parent company, Circle Group, from three to 30 employees. He began his career as a financial consultant with Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Private Client Group.

Supplementing his extensive experience, he holds an MBA and bachelor's degree in finance from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management and Michigan State University, respectively.
