Erin Gibbons
Teacher, author, and ICTFL 2018 Teacher of the Year in Fox Lake, États-Unis
I have been a high school French teacher since 2006, but long before that I began volunteering as a music minister at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wadsworth, IL as a singer and pianist. I have also become involved as a speaker, travel team member and member of the Board of Directors of Light of the World Evangelization Ministries. My musical background became integrated with my teaching when I began to serve as the rehearsal accompanist for the spring musical at the school where I taught. I have also taught piano for young beginners.
I am highly involved in professional organizations and networks related to French/foreign language education. I have served on Executive Council of the Chicago/N. Illinois chapter of AATF (American Association of Teachers of French) for a number of years, and I have coordinated the Champions d'expression Oral French Contest since its inception in 2011.
I am currently collaborating on a textbook series with Wayside Publishing.
