Ernest McNealey serves as the principal of The McNealey Group, a consulting firm located in Atlanta, Georgia. His responsibilities include generating clientele in the academic sector and designing solutions tailored to their varying administrative and organizational needs. Among other focuses, Ernest McNealey conducts research to inform strategies for increasing rates of student retention and graduation from universities throughout the country.
Prior to forming his company, he held academic and administrative appointments at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook and at Claflin College. During his tenure with the latter, he taught art courses, assisted with faculty recruitment, and helped plan the school’s budget.
Preparing for his career, Ernest McNealey earned a bachelor’s degree in art education with a minor in chemistry at Alabama State University. He later received an MAT with emphases in painting, drawing, and African-American Art History from Indiana University. Furthering his education, he completed a PhD in art education and social psychology at The Ohio State University.
