Since 2013, Eugene E. “Gene” Houchins III has served as president of American Life Fund Corp., a company he founded located in Atlanta, Georgia. Providing client-driven solutions, Eugene Houchins III assists individuals and families holding life insurance policies through the loan or sale of their policies. The proceeds from the sale are put toward paying for medical bills or living expenses.

Eugene Houchins established American Life Fund based on the financial challenges he saw people with cancer or other diseases confronting. In many cases, an individual experiencing a debilitating disease requires an immediate influx of funds to pay for living and medical expenses. The situation can sometimes be compounded by a loss of income. Mr. Houchins put together an experienced team at American Life Fund, including his own father, who came out of retirement to join the family business.

Gene Houchins holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Auburn University. He also earned a master of science in environmental engineering from Georgia Tech.
