Mburu

A native of Isiolo County, Wanjiru Mburu is an innovative digital creative, who is well versed in the field of digital communication. She is passionate about people, culture, social innovation and the use of New Media and ICT's in Development, especially in solving social complex challenges.

Currently she works at Kivulini Trust as the Operations Manager, where her responsibilities revolve around contributing to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy, working cross-functionally to improve the organization's information management, flow and IT functions and smooth running of Gotu Culture Centre.

Wanjiru’s intellectual curiosity makes her eager to explore new ways of building solutions that create real and lasting impact in the people, businesses and organizations that she works with.

In her spare time, Wanjiru volunteers with organizations that champion causes she believes in, this is demonstrated by her seasoned mentoring and volunteering contribution in coordinating AWTC (African Women in Tech - the largest gathering of women in tech in Africa) annually along with all the events held by AkiraChix on an annual basis.
