I have been a fan of FairTax for years. If our Nation would have adopted FairTax when it was first introduced in Congress, this Country would not be in the mess we are in today. Sales have NOT gone down nearly as much as incomes in the past several years. FairTax is based on spending not on income. It is so good for the poor families, even if they spend their welfare money they will be paying taxes and helping the economy. Now they are living off of other peoples money and not paying taxes. They will get their welfare checks and a pre-bate if they apply, plus their food stamps and any other benefits they already receive. And their is no limit to he amount of income family members make, eliminating the under the table payments. Read the books, don't listen to the politicans. We Need FairTax.
