Faisal Anwar Virginia

Faisal Anwar was born in a rural part of Bangladesh. He moved to the United States when he was only five, but still learned how to speak his native language of Bangla. One of the first things that Faisal noticed was how much space there was in America. He felt like the air was cleaner, and there was room to run. Faisal settled in quickly with his family and made many friends from around the country and the world. Around this time, Faisal felt the desire to help people, but he did not yet know that he wanted to become a physician. In high school he became a mediator and a peer counselor for other students. The next step in his evolution was becoming a volunteer at hospitals. Around this time, Faisal realized he wanted to become a doctor.
He began his college career by studying Chemistry at George Mason in Fairfax. He then attended Eastern Virginia Medical School located in Norfolk, VA. Faisal fell in love with the city of Norfolk because of the wealth of activities, the great people, the accessibility of Virginia Beach and the rich history. Faisal Anwar continues to reside in Norfolk as he finishes he medical residency.
In his spare time, Faisal loves to travel the world. He has been all over and continues to be passionate about traveling and exploring new places. He is also an avid pilot after taking training classes during medical school.
