A telecommunication news student at the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications. Finally graduating in Spring 2014 and I can't believe how far I have gotten! Wanting to work as a reporter- preferably near the ocean because it's basically the love of my life! Sometime in the future, I want to work as a feature reporter. I live to inspire people. I have realized that's the most important part of journalism, to reach your audience in a way that will change their lives. For me, that's feature reporting. I love telling happy stories and letting people tell their stories.

I'm currently a news anchor and reporter for WUFT News. I used to anchor for Florida's 89.1 WUFT-FM's Morning Edtion (affiliated with NPR). I am a member of the National Broadcasting Society at UF and I am also chief editor for a production project called ChomPics. I have interned for Gainesville Television Network News, a NBC and CBS affiliate. There, I have gotten the oppotunity to pitch my own stories for the reporters to cover, write short newscasts, and shadow reporters.

This May, I will be graduating and heading off to my internship in Miami. There, I will be working with NBC Universal. I'm planning to take a year off from school to report after my internship and to also prepare for the LSAT. In a year or so, I will be applying to law school for a J.D. I will like to become a legal analyst/correspondent in the future and then later in life work with features only.

I am excited to see what the future holds for me and hope I can keep doing what I love, telling stories.
