Fernando Navarrete

Born in Acapulco, Mexico. I was brought to this country at the age of 6, a Mexican by birth, but an American by heart. All my life I have been labeled as a "Alien", and immigrant, neglected of basic citizen rights: the right to vote, persue a career, receive a driver's license, qualify for financial aid as a student.

Today, I stand up for my rights, and enpower myself with knowledge and put myself through college and made a role model for those who lost their hope, those in my same position who think they cannot become something in a country that doesn't accept them.

I fight for those who are neglected of their rights, for those who want to make a difference of not only in themselves, but in the world.
