Fernando Arteaga

A principal and director of design with the offices of HKS in Miami, Florida, Fernando Arteaga spearheads this international architectural conglomerate’s worldwide hospitality design practice operations. Fernando Arteaga draws upon decades of design experience on large hospitality projects in the Americas, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

Mr. Arteaga’s work history includes four years as a design director with Wilson Associates in Singapore and four years as a managing director with Hirsch Bedner Associates in Dubai. He also held design and project management positions with Gensler in Chicago and Rockwell Group in New York City.

Fernando Arteaga got his professional start with Legorreta + Legorreta in Mexico City, Mexico, where he developed architecture and master plan studies as well as landscape projects. He holds a bachelor of architecture from Mexico City’s Ibero-American University. He speaks both English and Spanish fluently, is proficient in French, Italian and Russian, can communicate on a basic level in Mandarin Chinese.
