Fidel Alonso Valls

A respected entrepreneur, Fidel Alonso Valls has served as owner and General Manager at Tropical Aviation Corp. in San Juan, Puerto Rico, since 2004. Fidel Alonso Valls oversees daily operations at the fixed-base company, which caters to private aircraft owners and distributes fuel to various state and federal organizations. Located near hotels, major highways, and Old San Juan, Tropical Aviation Corp. provides a wide range of services, including private charter flights, ground-to-air correspondence, aircraft dispatch, Jet-A and 100 LL AVGAS, and various facilities. Fidel Alonso Valls started the corporation with the goal of offering convenience and exceptional service to customers. In addition to his role at Tropical Aviation Corp., Fidel Alonso Valls also serves as Stockholder and Assistant Director at MBTI Business Training Institute, a technical and vocational academy located in San Juan.

Furthermore, Fidel Alonso Valls serves as the owner of Tres Amigos Real Estate Holdings and F.A. & Sons Inc., real estate businesses that lease buildings to MBTI and two other educational institutions that he previously oversaw, the National College of Business & Technology and Instituto de Banca y Comercio. Actively involved in his community, Fidel Alonso Valls serves as President of La Parguera Home Owners Association. He has led several organizations throughout the years, including Ponce Federal Bank, the American Cancer Society Puerto Rico Division, the Tennis Interclub of Puerto Rico, and Asociación de Instituciones Post Secundarias Acreditadas.

Over the course of his career, Fidel Alonso Valls has received many accolades, including Businessman of the Year. He also earned recognition in the Best of Who’s Who in Puerto Rico. A resident of Guaynabo, he graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in 1965 and Juris Doctor in 1968 from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico. He also received and an Honorary Doctor of Business Administration from Johnson & Wales University, based in the United States.
