Science, Coach, and Finance in Australia

Thank you for reading and I appreciate it greatly!

I grew up in a very multicultural part of Sydney. My parents were Vietnamese immigrants and worked tirelessly to raise me and my brother up with a single income.

I remember listening to them argue about money and stressing about how to pay the mortgage when interest rates were 17.5%. The foundation of my money values come directly from their actions. For example, they saved as much as they could by buying what was needed, choosing durable/quality products and fixing broken items discarded on the street.

Despite the financial challenges, they instilled in me a deep respect for education and hard work. I became the first in my family to go to university, a milestone that could not have been possible for everyone who supported me along the way—my parents, extended family, friends and mentors.

Now, I want to give back. I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by money decisions, to wonder how to save when every dollar feels spoken for, and to navigate a financial system that wasn’t designed with people like us in mind.

That’s why I created FinanceWithAnt—to share the lessons I’ve learned from my family and my own journey. I want to make personal finance and investing simple, relatable, and accessible, especially for those who, like me, come from communities where money isn’t always an easy topic to discuss.

For now, this is just a hobby for me but I hope one day I can achieve my dreams to honor my parents’ sacrifices, to support the friends and family who lifted me up, and to empower others to take control of their financial futures. Because everyone deserves the chance to build a life of stability and opportunity, no matter where they start.

This is my story, and this is why FinanceWithAnt exists. Let’s grow together. 💛
