Today represents my first moments on about.me. Everything posted is predicated on the assumption that I can rewrite all content. I will post only what is true. Growing up on a farm in the midwest gave me an understanding of the comprehensive responsibilities of individuals in a democratic America. On a farm, a person must know a little something about almost everything. As a high school English/Language Arts teacher in the late 1980's, I created a computerized writing lab, which at the time was perceived by some to be "science fiction." My background includes a broad range of personal experiences, such as owning several businesses, a career in education, limited experience in politics, an interest in "local color" of lifestyles in the USA. My personal acquaintances have given me first person stories from the 1930's Great Depression through WWII, the Korean Conflict and many other wars. My path has crossed with much of the socio-economic range of lifestyles from dirt-floored hogans among the Navajo to the mansions of South Beach. One line I try to live by: Leave everything better than you found it.
