Fr. Ranjan D'Sa

My name is Fr. Ranjan D'Sa, and I am a priest of the Order of Discalced Carmelites. I grew up in Mangalore, India, in a devoted Catholic family, where faith, prayer, and church life shaped my upbringing and vocation.

I hold a master's degree in Philosophy from India and a master's degree in Pastoral Care and Counselling from Fordham University in New York. Following my ordination in Mangalore, I continued my studies and ministry, eventually serving two terms as pastor of Saint Dominic Parish in Oakville, Ontario, over ten years.

My spiritual life is rooted in Scripture, daily prayer, meditation, and the teachings of Carmelite saints. I enjoy exploring philosophy, homiletics, and spiritual counselling, helping others find encouragement and meaning through faith.

Community service is central to my ministry. I have organised charitable fundraisers and food drives, involved young people in street ministry, and visited hospitals and retirement homes to offer companionship to those experiencing illness or loneliness.

Outside ministry, I enjoy drawing, reading spiritual books, completing jigsaw puzzles, hiking, and learning about history and different cultures. Leading pilgrimages also allows me to share my love of faith, travel, and fellowship while building meaningful connections with others along the way.
