Amy Malone is a certified Public Relations Specialist based in Los Angeles. For 18 years Amy has been a significant force in the world of urban entertainment, working for such industry leaders as Capitol Records, Virgin Entertainment, CBS Entertainment, “It Girl” Public Relations, and BRE Magazine. In order to utilize her persuasive communication skills, strong writing ability, and love for communications, Amy decided to create the full service pr firm, Girl in Charge Public Relations. The firm specializes in catering to the needs of clients wishing to generate heightened awareness in all aspects of entertainment.
Working in various fields of entertainment gave Amy the opportunity to see first hand the lack of publicist catering to the urban market. Her goal for GIC was to do just the opposite, taking advantage of all media opportunities allotting her clients maximum exposure overall.
“Many publicity firms establish relationships strictly with mainstream media outlets thus overlooking local weeklies and urban based media, resulting in lost opportunities and revenue,” said Amy.
Amy attended California State University of Long Beach, where she majored in communications. A native of Los Angeles, she has managed to build a successful business, while raising 2 children with her husband of 14 years.
