I have worked at WISH-TV from Sept. of 1999 and while shooting and edit day turn style news story for both a newscast and for the web. I was nominated for an Emmy in breaking news category and many SBJs. Within my daily work I also setup, conduct maintenance and train staff on a fleet of live trucks all with a full range of computer and engineering gear. When the station made the move from a linear based editing system to a non-linear editing system I became a point person that was involved with the installation and maintenance of the new non-linear IT based system from its backbone to it day to day operations. I also have been routinely put in to position where I was to “do it all” from shooting and editing, problem solving how and where we could get live from, to deciding on what hardware was needed and then “just doing it” without fail.
