Gary McGaghey is a globally recognised Chief Financial Officer with more than 25 years of experience leading financial transformation, M&A and performance improvement across private equity, publicly listed and privately owned organisations. Currently Group CFO of OCS, a >£3 billion facilities management group backed by Clayton Dubilier & Rice (CD&R), Gary is steering business integration and value creation in partnership with a powerful executive team. Gary brings his unique blend of leadership, empathy and expertise to the OCS executive team, partnering the team in building the foundations for strong organic and M&A driven top and bottom line growth and value creation through the rollout of a unified ERP platform and data model, a key enabler of the AI journey across the group.

Before joining OCS, Gary served as Group CFO of Williams Lea Tag under Advent International, where he led one of the sector’s most complex global carve‑outs, overseeing the refinancing and separation of more than 140 legal entities and the subsequent sale of the Tag business to Dentsu. Prior to that he was Group CFO of Nelson & Co, the global natural healthcare business, where he built the finance systems foundations for scaling global strategic growth and operational transformation.

Gary spent over a decade at Unilever PLC in senior international finance and M&A roles, including VP Global M&A, CFO/COO of Global Business Services and Global CFO of the Pepsi Lipton International joint venture. His early career began in South Africa with Robertsons Foods, where he advanced from finance leadership into executive CFO board roles and led a key role in its sale to Unilever.

A Chartered Accountant (SA) and ACMA (UK), Gary combines technical depth with strong leadership and emotional intelligence, building high‑performing finance teams that deliver measurable value. His career reflects a consistent focus on integration, transformation, disciplined cash management and sustainable value creation. Outside his executive roles, he serves as a Non‑Executive Director at Fitmedia UK, supporting health and fitness initiatives for young people
