Gary Teran

Gary Teran, a financial professional with more than four decades of professional experience, has served First Western Advisors in Salt Lake City, Utah, as president and chief executive officer for 22 years. Gary Teran has spent an additional 13 years with the federally registered investment advisor and broker dealer as a registered representative and vice president.

As the executive leader of First Western Advisors, Mr. Teran is responsible for managing an asset portfolio worth $500 million. In addition to his work at the company, he has been featured as a speaker at the National Association of State Securities Regulators in Washington, DC, and as a panelist at the University of Utah during the “Anti Fraud College” event.

Mr. Teran studied finance at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, graduating with honors and a bachelor of science in finance. During his time as an undergraduate, he became a member of the prestigious Phi Kappa Phi honor society and the Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society, as well as the university’s freshman honor society. He completed his education at the school as a graduate student, earning a master of business administration with an emphasis on accounting.
