If you’re reading this bio page, you’re probably wondering about my qualifications and what my background is.
Born and raised in Vancouver, I’m a CBC (Canadian Born Chinese) or banana as they used to call us, yellow on the outside, white on the inside. As you can tell from the videos and blog posts I write, I like to “talk” a lot and hopefully behind all the talking, you are able to get a sense of who I really am.
I’ve always wanted to write an autobiography, but I’ll just give you a snapshot of who I am by answering the questions below.
How would you describe yourself?
Such a difficult question to answer as how I would describe myself changes so often based on the life stages I go through. I always tell people my life goes through so much change every few months as I grow and develop into a better version of myself. It’s like I am constantly evolving.
Anyway, without getting too deep, this is how I would generally describe myself:
- Devout Jesus Follower
- Joyful Real Estate Entrepreneur
- Committed Husband
- Playful Father
- Avid Gamer
- Bargain Hunter
- Dream Dreamer and Action Taker
There’s a tonne more that I’ll try to simply breakdown below.
Regarding my family:
I’ve been married to my wife since 2009. We met in 2004 at the Korean church I used to attend. She’s 3 years older than me and we were just normal friends.
We liked each other at the beginning of 2009 but I had plans to be a long term missionary with a friend in South Africa. I was also not interested in the concept of dating, so no long distance relationships. But when she came to Vancouver in June, we prayed separately, we got together on 2 dates, then we got engaged and married after 3 months.
I have an amazing son, Yushin (4) and he’s such a precious gift and blessing to us. I didn’t want to miss him growing up so I record a tonne of videos of him using my smartphone ever since he was born.
