As a neurologist at University Medical Group/Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island, Gayle Rebovich, MD, helps individuals who have strokes, seizures, intractable migraine, and dementia/delirium. As director of the hospital’s Stroke Program, she performs consultations for patients who have been admitted with neurological symptoms. Gayle Rebovich, MD, also addresses neurological deficits that patients develop as a result of other major health issues. Her other responsibilities include representing the hospital at the Rhode Island Stroke Task Force, which meets four times a year to discuss the quality and practice of stroke care across the state.
Dr. Rebovich also has participated in Ebola response internationally. During the first half of 2015, she worked in an Ebola treatment unit in Port Loko, Sierra Leone, and helped establish a clinic for survivors of the deadly disease. In April 2015, Gayle Rebovich, MD, was honored for these activities at the 240th Old North Church Lantern Lighting Ceremony.
