New York native Gema Alejandra has had over 12 years of experience in the field of beauty and nearly 10 years as a Certified Multi-Media Makeup Artist. It is Gemas' "Jaqueline-of-all-trades" background in beauty that eventually earned her the nickname; The Beauty Maven. While her working experience includes various areas in the world of beauty and the aesthetics, i.e. Fashion Design, Hair Styling, Skincare and especially Makeup Art her educational background ranges from Fashion Design and Makeup Art to Psychology, Linguistics, Communications and Business. During her career as a Makeup Artist, Gema has been trained in the field by some of the most talented creative and accomplished artists in the industry. She has worked for some of the biggest names in luxury retail cosmetics (i.e. MAC, NARS, LVMH etc…), participated in some noteworthy events in the fashion world (i.e. Fashion Week etc…). Gema attends trade shows and pro workshops to stay "in the know" and up to date with the ever evolving trends in the industry she serves and loves.
