Geoff Richards was born April 30, 1951. He has spent most of his life being involved with Rugby on some level or other. Geoff is a former Rugby Union player and coach and coached England at the 2006 Women's Rugby World Cup. He believes inwinningfor the right reasons.
He was also Richmond's director of rugby.
Among his claims to fame; Geoff Richards was selected to play for the Wallabies.
His superb career as a coach for both male and female rugby players, can be defined by a few different and unique methods. Perhaps the most famous or infamous of which is " you need to be playing top opposition and the more you play them, the better you are going to get."
Richards was never concerned about challenging his teams and maintained that women's rugby is still a fast developing sport amongst all of the competing nations, but definitely has a healthy place in the international word of Rugby.
