Gerald Mayfield is a longtime manufacturing professional who served as Norampac regional production manager from 2010 to 2014. He was responsible for corrugated manufacturing locations in New York City, Thompson, Connecticut, and Schenectady, New York. Gerald Mayfield’s duties included setting in place well-qualified leadership teams at each facility and providing skills-development support. He helped unprofitable NYC and Thompson plants achieve positive revenue streams through cutting waste and overtime, and improving production processes.

Throughout the 1990s, Mr. Mayfield served as quality assurance manager with the Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation in Atlanta. He created and implemented a program that met stringent requirements and obtained facility ISO 9001 certification. He next accepted responsibilities as Smurfit-Stone plant superintendent and directed a three-shift union operation. Mr. Mayfield’s efforts enhanced productivity by 15 percent and generated more than $450,000 in corrugated waste savings. Gerald Mayfield has a background in baseball and football extending back to high school, and played in the Connie Mack World Series twice as a teenager.
