Gerard Harmon

Gerard Harmon has made his imprint in the music business by possessing the innate sense to recognize talent and to help young artist reach their true potential for greatness. Gerard was introduced to rapping in the late 80’s, performing in local shows all over New York City. He knew then that music would be his life. During that time, he was approached by a childhood friend that led him to secure a recording contract with Island Records. While recording his album, Gerard began programming drum machines and sampling records to create his own beats. This development empowered Gerard to create a signature sound and ultimately kick off his career as an A&R Assistant at Jive Records. He devoured the music industry with both major and independent labels, extending his career as an A&R Consultant to Elektra Records, Dirctor of A&R for 3rd Street/J Records, SR V.P. of A&R for Launch Pad Ent./Warner Bros., and West Coast Chief of Operations for Immiggin.com. Naturally, Gerard established his own production company, MAAD PHUNK!, which spawned a Grammy nomination, including platinum and gold records for his work with the group Hi Five and famed rap recording artists Fabolous, Busta Rhymes, music production for radio and television commercials, video games, movie soundtracks, casting for the animated Hip Hop Cartoon, Da Jammies and music affiliations with Fabolous, Busta Rhyems, MC Lyte, Will Smith, Mario and many more. Gerard's versatility in the music business has evolved from song writing and production to artist management and development.

Gerard takes pride in his accomplishments but enjoys staying ahead of the curve by entering his latest venture as C.E.O. of One55 Productions. Developing new television shows like the docudrama "Pawn Stories" and the musical drama television series " Loyalty ". Gerard's drive and endurance in this business is just a glimpse of the further accolades he will receive and the worldwide recognition to come.
