Gina is a practising Solicitor with experience in many areas of law who has chosen to specialise in family law.

Her practice covers a wide range of applications including matrimonial, ancillary relief, private & public children’s law and domestic violence.

She has in-depth experience in private children law matters, including Children Arrangement Orders and Orders to have children returned to their place of residence. Gina's strength is to always to keep the focus on the welfare of the child regardless of whether the adults in the case become distracted. She has been responsible for many successful applications for Injunctions to prevent harassment in the home and on social networking sites, as well as Orders to remove unwanted persons from residential property.

Gina currently offers training on the employment and housing modules of the Certificate in Advice Work, certified by the University of Leicester. Gina is a certified Business Mentor helping individuals prepare for setting up their own businesses and will also assist with business formation.

After working in the legal aid sector for some years, Gina opened her own law firm with her friend and colleague. The firm is a comprehensive law facility delivering advice andconsultancy in primarily family and immigration law. Further areas of work are in business law andlandlord and tenant.

Interests

Gina has a strong social ethic and this has influenced her interests in other areas. Gina is a school governor and advises the school on equal opportunity and health and safety matters.

She has is an Advisor to the board of local charities; where she advises the Charities on their legal obligations and assists with the development of policy. Gina is involved with LRC offering free advice and guidance. Gina is also instrumental in developing governance structures within the charities.

Gina has been a speaker at the University of Leicester on the issue of FGM and delivered legal lectures on the radio.

Background

Gina obtained a LLB Honours law degree from Birmingham City University and gained a diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Law. She was admitted as a Solicitor in August 2008.
