With experience in the areas of intellectual property and labor law, Gretchen Stockdale serves as the chief operating officer and general counsel at Pilgrim Media Group in Los Angeles. Recognized in Variety's Hollywood feature on "The Best and The Brightest" attorneys in entertainment law, Gretchen Stockdale also was named a "Southern California Super Lawyer Rising Star” by Los Angeles magazine for four consecutive years.
At Pilgrim, now a Lionsgate company, Ms. Stockdale manages all legal affairs and is involved in all aspects of the company's strategic decision-making. She helped to establish Pilgrim’s digital studio and its digital platform, called 1620 Media. For her efforts, she was recognized as a “Corporate Visionary” by Cynopsis Media in connection with its “Top Women in Digital” awards.
Frequently invited to share her expertise with her peers, Gretchen Stockdale has delivered presentations on topics such as implied-contract law and legal aspects of media production. A graduate of Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, she still contributes to the institution as a member of its board of directors. She also is actively involved in several professional organizations, including the Association of Corporate Counsel, International Documentary Association, and Screen Actors Guild/American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG/AFTRA).
