Dhiraj Gurung

Hello, I’m Dhiraj Gurung.
I’m an educator and public health advocate.

My grandfather was a Gurkha soldier, who had served in Hong Kong in 60s. Gurkhas were in Hong Kong until 1997 when Hong Kong was handed back to China. However, now when I look around Hong Kong, nor I see any significant artifacts of their presence nor hear anything from them. Yes, not even in the museums, while Gurkha contributed while they served the city.
This project is about those untold stories of the forgotten heroes of Hong Kong.
