Helen Joyce

São Paulo, Brazil

I'm an ex-mathematician and now a journalist. Until a few of years ago I wrote about education for The Economist; in 2010 I moved to São Paulo to become the paper's Brazil correspondent. I'll be moving back to London at the end of 2013 with a heart forever divided between a complicated, messy, exciting, irritating country that I've grown to love - and my home, where my family and many friends are. What comes next? Still to be revealed.
