Hey there, I’m Hailey.

I'm 21 years young and grew up in the GTA with my loving parents. I am currently a student at Laurentian University in the Concurrent Education Program. I have completed my bachelor of arts, majoring in Psychology and Indigenous Studies. I am an aspiring teacher hoping to make a difference in the education field.

My experience within the concurrent education program at Laurentian has been nothing less than amazing. I have had the opportunity to complete placements where I learned lots about myself and how to become an incredible educator. My first placement was coaching a baseball team at Sudbury Youth Basketball League. My following placement was with the Learning Disabilities Association of Sudbury. Within this placement we took many courses on learning disabilities, learning about them and how to help others who may have it. I was then placed with an incredible, bright young student. Together we were able to learn off of each other and create a safe space where learning and exploring were possible. This was probably my most rewarding placement as I was told by the parents and teachers they could see an impact on the confidence level and grades of the child.

I currently have been accepted to work as a Summer Life Staff at Upper Canada College, an IB school located in Toronto. I will be teaching English enrichment sessions to children with different ethnicities and ages.
