Hello!

My name is Hannah and I am currently a senior at the University of Kansas studying microbiology. I am a Kansas girl born and raised in Topeka. I have grown up a Jayhawk and will be graduating as one in July 2017!

Right now I work in the Undergraduate Advising Center as a Peer Advisor. Around campus, I am involved in the Blood Drive Committee, Homecoming Steering Committee, Student Conduct Hearing Board, and I volunteer at Watkins Memorial Health Center. I am also a Campus Assistance, Resource, and Education (CARE) Sister in partnership with KU Panhellenic Association. Sometimes, on a nice day you can catch me around the boulevard walking my roommates dog Beau.

In Summer 2016 I studied abroad through KU in Sydney, Australia. I interned as a research assistant with the University of Sydney Department of Agriculture & Environment. I spent my summer monitoring snails movement via their slime patterns to determine whether or not they follow each other around like ants do. I learned more than I ever thought I would about snails so if you have any snail-related emergencies I'm your gal!

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my roomies, cuddling my kitties, playing video games, and reading.

Feel free to come see me at the Undergraduate Advising Center if you have any questions about what I do, how to get involved on campus, cute pictures of my animals, where to volunteer, study abroad, or if you have any general questions about life. I am also available via email at [email protected]. I look forward to speaking with you!
