Heather Lane

I am crazy about my husband and family, learning new things, working in teams, creating quality experiences, feeding Ithaca, developing new projects and pushing myself and others to reach their potential.

The hospitality industry has been my home for over 20 years in Ithaca, NY. My first entrepreneurial experience began when I opened Groover’s Downstairs Café, an American Bistro serving comfort food with a creative twist. I also co-owned and operated, Eat Dessert First, a dessert shop serving pastries, ice cream and coffee drinks in Collegetown. Currently, I co-own Purity Ice Cream Company and teach entrepreneurship and small business management at Ithaca College School of Business.

When I am not at work you will find me sailing on Cayuga lake, hiking in the Adirondacks, cycling, swimming, watching my boys play soccer or simply relaxing while cooking up something yummy in my kitchen.
